چکیده

We give a tracker solution for the quintessence scalar field for Ratra–Peebles or SUGRA potentials, holding before, during and after the equality epoch (ρm = ρr) and nicely fitting the numerical behavior.

Does School Tracking Affect Equality of Opportunity? New International Evidence

Does School Tracking Affect Equality of Opportunity? New International Evidence This paper investigates whether at the interaction between family background and school tracking affects human capital accumulation. Our a priori view is that more tracking should reinforce the role of parental privilege, and thereby reduce equality of opportunity. Compared to the current literature, which focuses o...

Control of discrete-time systems with state equality constraints

Design conditions for existence of memory-less feedback control for stabilization of discrete-time systems with equality constraints given on the state variables are presented in the paper. The design problem is addressed for linear discretetime systems with equality constraints tying together some state variables. Using the classical memory-less feedback control principle LMI-based procedures ...

Education Policy and Equality of Opportunity

Education Policy and Equality of Opportunity We provide a measure of equality of educational opportunity in 54 countries, estimated as the effect of family background on student performance in two international TIMSS tests. We then show how organizational features of the education system affect equality of educational opportunity. Our model predicts that late tracking and a long pre-school cycl...

Improving the Precision of Equality-Based Dataflow Analyses

We present two new, orthogonal techniques for improving the precision of equality-based dataflow analyses. Subtype expansion models objects at a per-type granularity, enabling a form of subtype-restricted equality constraint, while mutation tracking uses a simple effect analysis to avoid a class of false aliases induced by the bidirectional nature of equality constraints. The utility and costs ...
